Day 11. At the cemetery: the message of the ephemeral butterfly

Today, it’s my step-dad’s death anniversary. I just spent 2 hours at the cemetery lying next to his tomb, in the sun, meditating. While reminisce him, honoring his personality, life and values and thanking soooo badly the universe for having sent him into our life, I heard him saying: “life it’s short, make the most out of it, go for it! Stop thinking so much about things! “

It’s when a gorgeous white butterfly, apparently injured, was struggling to fly off the pavement at only 6 meters away from me. “How beautiful you are…I was telling him…”  In seconds, a bird came, caught it and flew away it….Omg! LIFE IS SHORT INDEED!!!!

“Beauty is ephemeral! Stay anchored in the essence of life, not its physical form, stay in pure non-attachment….” Stunned. The messages were unfolding in such a powerful way in front of my eyes, probably because I wasn’t hearing them loud enough that day!

Ironically, surrounded by hundreds of tombs, I was not getting the main message…”Life its short. TAKE EVERYTHING LIGHTLY. Playfully”

I love this life as it is, and no, I don’t want to take anything at heart or have any expectations, you’re right! I love my travels through this journey and feel very much blessed…..

Then I hear: you are young! (I heard that sooo clearly…so loudly). The cleanest message I got out of the blue was this one. You are young and you have time to live, take this time to live, grow flowers not weeds. Focus and hang with Positive people, wise people. Focus on the many blessings – the positivity pledge”.

So while I was sitting there amongst the tombs, in an empty cemetery, after about an hour, some birds got curious about me- one in particular! We had a very special interaction.

It came forward, jumping it’s way from tomb to tomb towards me, as we were progressing in our connection! I was SO grateful for its presence and interaction with me and he was soooo surprised that I was understanding him! He was thrilled, jumping and shaking on the tombs each time I was complimenting him. I asked him something ‘huge’ at some point: to come even closer to me and sit on ONE specific tomb…and of course, you can guess ….it just did that.

He was now the only bird in the whole place sitting on a tomb and that was next to me!!! WOW! All I got from it was: curiosity. He told the other birds that he was talking to me (others came around him a bit later, checking me out). I also got from it: ‘thanks for your wisdom and showing us we are eternal. We get so caught into survival, we never get the time like you to withdraw from stress and watching our back and meditate on the truth…’
